Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is transmitted to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query under its own system and supplies the response. Lee County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own servers.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to read, manage, and answer it. Access is limited to the people who handle site communications. A message is not disclosed outside the organization unless the sender permits it or a valid legal duty requires disclosure.

Data collected about site visits is not assembled into a criminal-history file, consumer report, or profile about the person searched. This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. A query sent through one of those tools is governed by that company's privacy notice, retention rules, and sharing practices. Those terms are not controlled by Lee County Criminal History. Review the provider's notice before submitting a name or other search detail.

Links may lead to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the Lee Circuit Court, Virginia State Police, other public agencies, or outside services. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy terms govern. Review those terms before providing personal information.
